A Bit About Me
I first fell in love with yoga after spending a month at The Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, South India 20 years ago. As a director in the fast-paced industry of telecommunications I was desperate for a change in my stress driven existence.
So, I took a sabbatical...and never looked back. Despite being eaten alive daily by mosquito's whilst meditating by the lake and bending my body into unattainable shapes, I knew I had found the change I was looking for and was embarking on a life changing journey. A few years later with several teacher training qualifications under my yoga belt, including Annatantara TT in Guatemala and Yoga Alliance TT in London, I hung up my travelling mat and entered my biggest adventure yet...motherhood.
As a mother to 4 wonderful children with a sizeable age range from pre-school to teens, 5 years ago I realised that the true benefits in teaching a healthy balanced lifestyle was to capture the imagination and enthusiasm of our children. I have been teaching children and working in schools ever since.
I am passionate about creating fun and inclusive classes that teach us to be kind to one another, build trust, encourage teamwork and nurture friendships. I practice yoga with all my children and can honestly see first-hand the benefits for improving concentration, confidence, strength, flexibility and helping with anxiety, relaxation and sleep.
As the founder of
YOGADOES I am wholeheartedly committed to making every class on our programme fun, because what is life without laughter!
